Remembering Tim Fauvell

The Rev. Tim Fauvell, lecturer in Field Education and supervisor of Union students in CPE, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 7. We remembered him at a funeral today in the Riverside Church with stories and the music that was such a part of his life. We post here a short clip of a service in which he preached from February 2005.

Feel free to post remembrances in the comment section.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I'm a friend of Timmy's from London and to have to come to terms with this loss from such a great distance is difficult. It was such a gift to be able to watch the clip of him preaching. I feel so truly blessed to have him in my life. It's a terrible loss.
Thank you SO much.

I was a student of Timmy's when he taught musical theatre at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York. He was such a kind, and bright soul, who's positive spirit was contagious. He brought out the best in his students, and I am grateful for having the experience of learning from him. He will be sorely missed.

There is something about sharing deep love in anonymity that makes the person or focus of such deep love universally ours. Thank you for makeing Tim universally ours in our newer media. He touched the lives of those I love beyond measure . . . and has therefore changed me.

Tim was one of the first people at Union Seminary who told me he saw I was a leader and he expected me to speak up and share some of that greatness with the rest of the community. Maybe he didn't say "greatness," but that's how he made me feel. I admired his showmanship, sincerity and fearlessness, 3 things that I need to work on. He is missed, and his example lives on.

I met Tim at the Childrens hospital. He was a GOD send for my daughter. He gave her a reason to fight. Everyday she waited to see him and sing with him. Tim even had a band come into the intensive care so she could sing with them. Tim understood how scared I was and I felt so Blessed to have him there. Tim I miss you and pray to you offen. I never told Denise what happen to you but I know you do visit her. love you timmyboy as Denise would say. She still plays the " WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WORD" LOVE BRENDA
